From the outset, John Padman has continually developed new methods of automation, with these innovations making the most of our famous 100% rubber flap doors on our products.
Over the years, we worked closely with the farmers and took on their feedback to give them the product that they wanted.
With automation benefits becoming obvious and technology advancing so quickly, we have now launched a range of automation products that are built to be both portable and affordable for the markets we’ve worked with for over 30 years.
Padman Automation Showroom
Padman Automation is still 100% a part of Padman Stops and located at the same premises in Strathmerton allowing our onsite developers and production team unrestricted access to our products and industry knowledge.
Adjoining the production facility we have an interactive show room with all products on display. In addition to sales, this space also operates as a hub for our servicing and repairs and anyone is welcome to visit during business hours.
Meetings with a member of our sales or management are available, with appointments preferred as they are often out in the field.
As a contract harvester and transport operator, Darren Longbottom became aware of Padman Stops while carting truck loads of them across state lines into South Australia.
The trips have increased and as the locals are becoming aware of our products, Darren has agreed to putting up a display site of products most suitable to the regions irrigation needs.

We’re incredibly excited to be have opened Padman Water Solutions, which will bring a brand-new site to Queensland, allowing easier and more affordable access to our products up north, but backed by the 30 years experience of Padman Stops.
Our new manufacturing plant is due to open in Ayr, QLD in the heart of the Burdekin region, in July 2020.
Not only will it make the freight and transport of our famous Padman Stops products to Queensland farmers much cheaper (rather than shipping them from Victoria), but we’ll also have products that are specifically made for the unique needs of our more northern farms and their agricultural pursuits.

For convenient access, we have established a display site in Ayr, just off the Bruce Hwy. Pull up at any time and have a look at some of the products being used on Cane farms throughout the region.
In the late 1980’s, John Padman moved his family to Strathmerton to focus on inventing and developing products in the shed in his backyard.
After three decades of innovation, Padman Stops is now a thriving industrial site at the same location with the house vacated long ago as the business consumed the surrounding acreage.
As all of our products are 100% Australian made, over 40 staff work onsite at the Strathmerton facility each day producing our irrigation outlets and the automation devices to control them.
